Dr. John L. Potter

Dr. John Potter was born and raised in San Mateo, California. He attended Menlo College in Atherton, California on a Soccer Scholarship and graduated with distinction in the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.  He then graduated from Temple University Dental School in 1993 as a Member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society.  From there he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York.  Honing on his specialty, he began an intensive three year program in Periodontology an Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry, during which time, he was also a clinical assistant professor, earning his certificate in Periodontology in 1997.

He began his practice focusing on managing and rehabilitating a patients' dentition through implants and periodontal therapy and is the Divison Head of Periodontics at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA.

While maintaining a successful practice, Doctor Potter continues his passion for athletics.  As an accomplished triathalon races around the world and finished 10 Ironman races and qualified for 3 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, and still counting.
